Mr Johnson's
Johnson's — often just called Johnson's Veterinary, or 'Mr Johnson's' by plenty of customers — is one of the more familiar names in British pet care, and the range on our shelves shows it: flea and worm treatments, coat conditioners, joint supplements and first-aid basics rather than one flagship product. It is the sort of brand you reach for because it is reliably there.

What the range actually covers
On the grooming side there is Johnson's Luxury Coat Conditioner, and on the parasite side Johnson's 4Fleas Dog Tabs, both everyday cabinet items rather than specialist products. Joint care is covered too, with Johnson's 4Joints Liquid sitting alongside supplement ranges from other brands.
First-aid basics carry the same name — Johnson's Antiseptic Wound Spray and Johnson's Hairball Remedy are the sort of thing worth having in before you need them rather than after. None of it is dressed up as anything more than sensible, everyday pet care.
Who it suits
Johnson's suits owners who want a trusted, ordinary brand rather than a boutique one — it is not the priciest name on the shelf and it is not the cheapest own-label either, and most people are buying it for exactly that reason.
Because the range spans grooming, parasite control, joints and first-aid, one brand can cover most of what sits in a pet's cabinet rather than needing five different names for five different jobs.
What to check before you buy
Flea and worm products carry a species and weight range on the pack, and a dog product should never be used on a cat. Read the front and back of the pack rather than assuming, particularly with a young, pregnant or unwell animal.
If your pet is on other medication, elderly, or you are simply not sure something is right for them, a quick check with a vet before you start is the sensible move — nothing here replaces that conversation.
