Christmas Dog Jumpers
Knitted Christmas jumpers cut for a dog rather than shrunk down from a human one, so they sit over the shoulders and leave the legs free. On a cold December walk this is the one festive item that actually earns its place rather than just photographing well.

Which dogs genuinely benefit from one
Thin-coated and short-haired breeds — greyhounds, whippets, staffies, dachshunds, chihuahuas — lose heat quickly and are visibly more comfortable in a knitted layer below about 7°C. So are older dogs and puppies, who regulate temperature less well.
Double-coated breeds do not need one. A husky, a German shepherd or a collie is already carrying the right coat, and adding a jumper on a walk risks overheating rather than helping. For those dogs, a bandana is the festive option that does no harm.
Knitwear runs smaller than you expect
Chest is the measurement that decides the size, and knitted fabric has less give across the chest than a fleece or a padded coat. If your dog is between sizes, go up: a jumper that is slightly loose is a minor annoyance, one that is tight across the front legs will be rejected within a minute.
Check the armholes once it is on. Rubbing behind the front legs is the most common reason a dog refuses to walk in a jumper, and it is easy to miss because the dog cannot tell you — they simply stop.
Indoors is warmer than you think
A jumper is for outside. A dog wearing knitwear indoors on Christmas Day, with the oven on and the house full of people, will get uncomfortably warm long before anyone notices. Take it off once you are back through the door.
Everything here is chosen to be genuinely useful in everyday life with your pet — quality-checked, fairly priced and shipped tracked across the UK. For any health concern, your vet is always the best first port of call.

Common questions
How do I get the size right?
Measure three things while your pet is standing: neck circumference, chest at the widest point just behind the front legs, and back length from the collar to the base of the tail. Chest decides the size — if your pet is between sizes, go up. Knitwear has less give than people expect once it is over the shoulders.
Is it safe to put my pet in a Christmas outfit?
For short, supervised periods, yes. Nothing should restrict breathing, sight, hearing or movement, nothing small enough to chew off should be within reach, and it should never be left on an unattended pet. Christmas outfits add two hazards Halloween ones do not: bells and tinsel trim, both of which are swallowable. If your pet freezes, flattens their ears or tries to back out of it, take it off.
Are these the same as human Christmas jumpers?
No, and that distinction matters more than it sounds. Much of what ranks for this search is human knitwear with a dog printed on it. Everything here is cut for a four-legged body: a longer back, an open chest, and armholes positioned for front legs rather than arms.
Can my cat wear one?
Some of these are sized and shaped for cats, and they are marked as such. Cats object to anything restricting the shoulders far more strongly than dogs do, so expect a short photo session rather than an afternoon.
Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
Every product page shows its own last order date rather than one date for the whole shop, because transit times differ across the range. Order well before the middle of December — the last two weeks are the worst time of year to rely on a tight delivery estimate.
