Halloween for Dogs & Cats

Costumes, bandanas, collars and hats across 119 products — with the fit and safety advice most Halloween pages leave out, because a costume your pet will not wear is money wasted and a miserable evening.

Ordering in time: last order dates run from 13 October for the slower items to 24 October for the quickest. Every product page shows its own date — check there before you order.

Before you dress your pet up

Costumes are for supervised wear only. Nothing should restrict breathing, sight, hearing or movement, and nothing small enough to chew off should be within reach. Never leave a costume on an unattended pet, overnight, or during rough play.

Plenty of animals simply will not wear clothing, and forcing it is not worth the photograph. A bandana or a themed collar gets you the same picture with none of the stress — which is why they are on this page alongside the costumes rather than hidden below them.

Halloween night itself is harder on pets than the costume is. Repeated doorbells, strangers at the door and fireworks nearby unsettle even confident dogs. If yours already struggles, skip the outfit and give them a quiet room at the back of the house instead.

What is actually dangerous — chocolate, xylitol in sugar-free sweets, swallowed wrappers — plus handling the doorbell, the escape risk when it keeps opening, and how to tell your pet has had enough of the costume.
