Gifts & Calendars

The calendars cover a good spread of popular breeds — German Shepherd, Border Collie, Pug and others — each running as a traditional wall calendar or a slimmer version for a smaller space. If your dog's exact breed isn't listed, a similarly-sized or similarly-coated breed calendar is usually the nearest alternative.

The wider gift side sits closer to the personalised aisle than to everyday pet kit — things bought as a present rather than a routine purchase, for a birthday, Christmas, or simply because you know someone who is completely devoted to their dog or cat.

A breed calendar works well as a gift precisely because it doesn't need to fit anything — no size, no colour preference to guess, just the right breed. That makes it a safer bet than a lot of pet gifts when you're buying for someone else's dog rather than your own.

If you're not certain of the exact breed — a rescue dog with a mixed background, for instance — a calendar for the closest-looking breed, or a general dog-themed gift instead, avoids the awkwardness of getting the breed wrong on something meant as a nice surprise.
