Two kinds of light-up toy, because they do different jobs. The flashing ball and the flash bone have a battery inside and light up when they bounce, which makes them bright, easy to track across a dark field and easy to find in long wet grass. The glow balls have no battery at all: hold them under a lamp or a torch for a minute and they glow softly for the walk, fade slowly, and can be chewed and slobbered on without anyone worrying about a cell inside.
The honest bit: the two LED toys are fetch toys, not chew toys. Play, then put them away, and retire one the moment it cracks. The glow balls are the ones to leave with a dog who likes to carry a ball around. Neither kind floats reliably, so keep them off the canal.
Sized for medium and large dogs; a dog small enough to get the flashing ball behind its back teeth should have the glow balls only.

Common questions
Are light-up balls safe for dogs?
For fetch under supervision, yes. The LED ball and bone contain a small battery, so they are thrown and retrieved, not chewed, and go away after the game. The glow balls have no battery and are the ones to leave out.
How do the glow balls charge?
Hold them under a bright lamp, a torch or your phone light for about a minute before the walk. They glow for the length of a normal walk and fade slowly, and they recharge every time they see light, so there is nothing to replace.
Do they float?
Do not count on it. The flashing ball and bone are heavier than a normal ball because of the battery, so keep them away from open water. If you want a floating winter toy, a solid rubber ball is the better choice.
