Full description
Adding dried fruit to a rabbit mix makes the selective-eating problem worse rather than better — a rabbit will go straight for the banana and pineapple pieces and leave the balanced base behind, which is worth knowing before you buy a mix built around being tasty rather than being eaten evenly.
Mr Johnson's build this from flaked steamed peas, concentrate pellets (wheatfeed, sunflower extract, straw, sugar beet, calcium carbonate, molasses, grassmeal, salt, vegetable oil, a vitamin and trace element premix, and dicalcium phosphate), flaked barley, flaked maize, locust bean extrusions, flaked beans, wheat extrusions, dried banana, dried carrot and dried pineapple, with a fruity essence added for aroma.
- Crude protein 16.00%, crude fibre 10.00%, crude oils & fats 4.00%, crude ash 3.50%
- Calcium 0.90%, sodium 0.20%, phosphorous 0.20%
- Contains dried banana, dried carrot and dried pineapple
- Fruity essence added for aroma
- 900g or 15kg bag
On the fruit pieces. Dried fruit is a flavour draw more than a nutritional feature, and a rabbit given this mix may eat the banana and pineapple first and leave the rest — the same selective-eating risk that applies to any muesli-style mix, made more likely by the fruit specifically. It's worth watching what's actually left in the bowl rather than assuming the whole mix is being eaten evenly.
Who it's for: rabbit owners looking for an occasional treat mix with genuine fruit content, rather than a primary everyday feed — and who will keep an eye on whether their rabbit eats around the base to get to the fruit.

Why we chose it
Real dried banana and pineapple, rather than a flavouring sprayed on, is a genuine point of difference for a treat-style mix at this size. It's small enough to buy as a top-up rather than committing to a full sack of something your rabbit might just pick the fruit out of.
