A young or naturally small rabbit has different needs from a full-grown one, and a mix built for 'junior and dwarf' is really an admission that a standard adult ration is often too rich for either.

This is a complementary feed, meaning it is meant to sit alongside hay rather than replace it — Mr Johnson's own guidance is that good quality hay should still make up the bulk of the diet. The mix itself is built from flaked steamed peas and concentrate pellets, with flaked barley, flaked maize, locust bean and wheat extrusions, dried carrot and Lucerne, plus a Verm-X blend of herbs for intestinal health and soya oil.
