Mr Johnson's Advance Hamster & Gerbil is a 750G complementary dry food. Its composition begins with wheat, wheatfeed, soya bean meal and oats, then lists sunflower seed meal, linseed, calcium carbonate, vegetable oil and fat, mono calcium phosphate, Bio-Mos, sodium chloride and Verm-X herb blend. The analysis declares 19% protein, 5% fibre, 5% oils and fats and 5.50% ash, with calcium, lysine, methionine, sodium and phosphorus also stated. Vitamins A, D3 and E and six trace elements appear in the additive declaration.

Three species lines, three life stages. For adults, the guide lists gerbils at 4-8g a day, hamsters at up to 9g and dwarf hamsters at 2-5g. Separate growing and lactating ranges are also supplied. The directions say to add suitable fruit and vegetables, with a small portion of cooked lean meat a couple of times a week, and to keep fresh water available; the manufacturer describes the table as guidance.
