A rabbit fed an unlimited bowl of mixed food will often eat the tastiest pieces first and leave the rest, which is one reason a stated daily amount — and hay alongside it — matters more with rabbits than the brand of mix does.

Tiny Friends Farm's Russel Rabbit's Tasty Mix is a complete food made from extruded wheat, flaked peas, flaked maize, timothy hay, alfalfa meal, whole oats, flaked wheat, soya bean hulls, wheat feed, soya oil and extruded locust beans, and may contain genetically modified soya and traces of nuts. It's sold in 850g, 2.5kg and 5kg bags. Crude protein is 14%, crude fibre 12%, crude oils and fats 4%, crude ash 5%, calcium 0.6% and phosphorus 0.4%. The maker's guide for a 2.5kg rabbit is 60-70g daily, split into two meals, alongside unlimited hay, fresh leafy greens and fresh water.

What's not stated here. This contains wheat, oats and maize, so it's not grain free, and may contain traces of nuts — worth knowing if you're managing another pet's nut allergy in the same household.

Who it's for: rabbit owners who want a complete mix with a genuine stated daily amount, to feed alongside unlimited hay rather than as the whole diet on its own.
