A coarse mix gives rats and mice different pieces to pick through, so the composition matters as much as the headline protein figure.

The in-stock Mr Johnson's Supreme Rat & Mouse Mix is a 900G pack. Its composition starts with torrified wheat and flaked peas, then includes wheat extrusions, maize, oats, grass nuts, beans, barley, red millet, soya extrusions, dried carrot, mealworms, sunflower seeds, Verm-X blend and soya oil. It declares 16% protein, 6% fibre, 4% oils and fats and 3% ash. Its additives include vitamins A, D and E, copper and colourants.

The packs are not equally documented. The feeding guide and full label details here belong to the 900G pack; the larger sibling is out of stock and does not carry the same verified panel. For the 900G pack, adults are listed at up to 25g daily for rats and up to 9g for mice, with separate growing ranges. Suitable fresh fruit and vegetables, some good-quality hay and fresh water are also directed.

Who it's for: rat and mouse owners choosing the 900G complementary mix from its published label, while recognising that the larger family listing has less supporting detail.
