A guinea pig's teeth grow continuously, which is the actual reason a "variety of crunchy textures" matters more here than it would for most other pets — different textures wear teeth down differently, and a single uniform pellet does less of that work.

The recipe is built on alfalfa extrusions, flaked peas, wheat extrusions, flaked maize and a concentrate pellet (barley, wheatfeed, soya, limestone, molasses, sunflower), giving genuinely different shapes and textures rather than one nugget repeated. Analysis comes out at 17.85% protein and 9% crude fibre.

• Variety of crunchy textures across several ingredient shapes
• Crude protein 17.85%, crude fibre 9%, crude oils and fats 3.55%, crude ash 7.3%
• Calcium 0.68%, phosphorus 0.62%, sodium 0.14%
• Vitamin C included, though not broken out separately in the analysis figures on this card
• Complementary food, sold in a large 12.5kg bag

What the label does not say. This card carries no breakdown of how much vitamin C the recipe actually supplies, only that it's included — and vitamin C matters more here than for most animals, since guinea pigs cannot make their own. If that figure matters to you, it isn't one we can confirm from what's been supplied.

Who it's for: owners of multiple guinea pigs, or a rescue or breeder buying in bulk, who want a large bag of varied-texture food rather than a smaller, single-shape nugget.
