Hemm & Boo
Hemm & Boo's name on our site currently covers a cat toy: the Fish & Feather Cat Teaser, a wand-style toy built around movement and a cat's chase instinct rather than a toy left lying on the floor. It is the kind of interactive play that gets a housebound cat moving rather than watching from a windowsill.

What we stock
The Fish & Feather Cat Teaser combines feathers and a fish-shaped lure on a wand, which works because it is being moved rather than sat still — most cats respond far more to something darting and unpredictable than a static toy.
This is the specific product we carry from the brand today, and we would rather be plain about that than suggest a wider Hemm & Boo range than actually sits on our shelves.
Getting the most from a wand-style toy
Short, frequent sessions tend to work better than one long one — a few minutes of genuine chasing and pouncing most days does more for a cat than a toy left permanently within reach, which most cats eventually ignore.
Put the toy away between sessions rather than leaving it out, both to keep the feathers and lure intact for longer and to keep the novelty that makes a cat want to chase it in the first place. A cat that seems bored after a minute or two is often telling you the session is over for now, not that the toy itself has failed — coming back to it later in the day usually works better than pushing on regardless.
What to check before buying
Look at the wand itself before the lure — a rod that will not snap under an enthusiastic swipe matters more long-term than the exact feather pattern on the end. Replacement lures are worth keeping an eye out for once the original wears out, since the wand usually outlasts the feathers.
If you have more than one cat, expect some competition over a moving toy — take turns holding it rather than leaving it out for a free-for-all, which can turn a fun toy into a source of squabbles between housemates. It is also worth having a second, different toy in rotation, since even the most enthusiastic chaser tends to lose interest in exactly the same lure after enough repeat sessions.
