Harnesses are sized by the chest (girth) — the measurement around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.

How to measure

Stand your pet up squarely.
Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Keep two fingers under the tape so the fit is snug, not tight.
If your pet is between sizes, choose the larger one.

Full description

A harness that digs into a dog's chest on a long walk gets left in the drawer within a month, which is the whole argument for padding over a plain webbing strap. Hemm & Boo's version puts dense neoprene over the chest and back panels rather than relying on nylon alone.

It's an over-head harness with two easy-clip buckles for fitting, built on a double-layer woven nylon shell with the neoprene padding sitting where the straps meet the dog's body. Reflective piping runs the length of the harness for visibility on darker walks. We list it in aqua and purple.
