Full description
With a slip lead, the loop around the neck is part of the lead itself. That makes the slider and the way the rope is adjusted more important buying details than a photograph of the colour. Hemm & Boo puts both the rope construction and the fittings in its description.
This soft-weave rope lead has hand-stitched full-grain leather tabs and a metal buckle slider. The maker also describes a figure-eight halter configuration. Brown and green options share the page, with the maker's size label giving a rope thickness of 14mm and a length of 60 inches.
- Soft-weave rope construction
- Hand-stitched full-grain leather tabs
- Metal buckle slider
- Collar-and-lead slip design
- maker size label: 14mm x 60 inches
- Brown and green colour options
Fit is still your responsibility: the maker mentions the slider as a safeguard, but provides no neck-size range, fitting guide or instructions for the figure-eight arrangement. Do not read that feature as a guarantee against choking or pulling. Obtain suitable fitting advice if you are unfamiliar with slip leads.
Who it's for: dog owners deliberately choosing a rope slip lead who understand how to fit and handle one. The leather tabs and soft weave are the construction details to compare; select brown or green to choose the finish.

Why we chose it
The maker identifies the fittings as well as the rope, which gives a buyer something concrete to compare. I would rather explain the missing fitting guidance than repeat a blanket safety claim about a slip lead.
