Full description
A cat that ignores an expensive toy for weeks will often go straight for a plain mouse shape the moment catnip is involved, which says more about what actually works than any amount of design.
These mice are soft, lightweight plush with a feather detail for a tail, infused with catnip to encourage batting, chasing and pouncing. They're 8 inches long and sold as a pair, in contrasting blue and pink.
- 8-inch mice
- Sold as a pair
- Infused with catnip
- Soft, lightweight plush body with feather tail
- Colours: blue and pink
One thing worth knowing. Not every cat responds to catnip - it's a genetic sensitivity many cats simply don't have, though Hemm & Boo don't give a figure for that themselves, so if your cat has never reacted to catnip before, this may not be the toy that changes that.
Who it's for: cats that respond to catnip and enjoy batting a light toy around, and owners who like buying in pairs so there's always a spare.

Why we chose it
Catnip toys are one of the more reliable ways to get an indifferent cat interested in playing, and buying a pair means there's a backup the moment one goes missing under the sofa. The feather tail adds a bit more for a cat to bat at beyond the plain mouse shape.
