Full description
Corrugated cardboard is the scratching surface cats choose for themselves, which is why the delivery box so often beats the toy that came in it. This is that material made into something that changes shape: a concertina of cardboard that pulls out into a low tunnel, curls round into a ring, or squashes flat into a pad.
Closed up it is small, about 11cm tall and 10cm wide, with a cat face printed on each end panel. Pulled open, the honeycomb of cardboard between the two faces becomes the scratching surface and the hiding place. A plastic ball with a bell inside comes with it and can be dropped into the folds or batted through the middle.
- Corrugated cardboard, concertina construction
- About 11cm tall and 10cm wide when closed
- Stretches into a tunnel, a curve or a ring
- Bell ball included
- Supplied as one scratcher toy and one ball
On size: This is a small toy, not a bed and not a scratching post. The photos make it look larger than it is. A kitten can get inside the stretched tunnel; an adult cat will scratch it, bat the ball through it and sit on it. It is cardboard, so it will shed a little and it is meant to be used up and replaced.
Who it's for: Kittens, cats who already attack cardboard boxes, and anyone wanting a small extra for a cat who has everything.

Common questions
How big is it really?
Closed, it is about 11cm tall and 10cm wide. It stretches out several times that length like an accordion. It is a toy-sized scratcher, so please do not expect a bed.
Will it make a mess?
A little. All corrugated cardboard scratchers shed small flakes as they are used. A quick vacuum deals with it, and it is the sign the cat is using it.
Is it suitable for adult cats?
Yes for scratching and for playing with the ball, but an adult will not fit inside it. Kittens can use it as a tunnel.
What comes in the pack?
One cardboard accordion scratcher and one plastic ball with a bell inside.

Why we chose it
Cats love corrugated cardboard, and this is the cheapest way to find out whether yours does. It folds into different shapes, so it stays interesting longer than a flat pad.
