Lickimat

Each mat is made from textured rubber or food-grade TPR, ridged or grooved so that a smear of wet food, plain yoghurt or a paste treat has to be licked off bit by bit rather than gulped down. That slower pace is the whole design — turning a few spoonfuls into several minutes of calm, repetitive licking, which some owners use to settle a dog or cat before a bath, a nail trim, or simply as independent downtime.

Different shapes do different jobs. The Buddy is a criss-cross mat for spreadable food, the Soother has a brush-tip surface for wet or liquid food, and the Playdate uses a square-pocket design better suited to kibble or chunkier treats. The Wobble adds movement — a wobbling base with rubber teeth that trap food between them — and the Splash suction-mounts to a tile or glass surface so it stays put while your dog works at it.

Alongside the individual mats — Buddy, Soother, Playdate, Slomo, Wobble and Splash, most around 20 x 20cm and freezer, microwave or dishwasher safe depending on the model — we carry the tougher Tuff versions for stronger chewers, the Classics range in a choice of colours, and cat-specific options including the Cat Playdate and the Felix & Casper mats built for whisker-friendly, flat feeding.

We also stock the OH Bowl, a raised slow-feeder bowl with tongue-cleaning tips for dogs and cats, the Outdoor Keeper, a moat bowl that keeps insects off an outdoor mat, and the Indoor Keeper, a non-slip holder that doubles as a bowl. For filling a mat, our Lickimat Peanut Butter is a 100% peanut spread with no added sugar, salt or xylitol.
