Boredom in a dog left home alone doesn't look dramatic, it just looks like a bowl emptied in seconds and nothing to do afterwards — which is the gap a slow feeder is actually built to fill.

This is a criss-cross lick mat in human-grade, food-safe TPR, made for spreading soft foods such as yoghurt, purées or wet food onto rather than serving them in a bowl. LickiMat describe mats like this as calming enrichment, with the licking said to help reduce anxiety and boredom. It's 20 x 20cm, hand washable, freezer safe and microwave friendly.

Don't read the name as a flavour. 'Mint' is the mat's colour here, not an added scent — LickiMat's card carries no ingredient or fragrance information, because the mat itself isn't something a dog is meant to eat. For a teething puppy or heavy chewer, pair it with LickiMat's own Keeper accessory rather than leaving the mat unsupervised.

Who it's for: owners wanting an easy way to slow a fast eater down or occupy a bored dog with a meal, without buying a puzzle feeder with parts to lose.
