Full description

A dog that finishes dinner and immediately starts looking for something else to do hasn't necessarily had enough food, it's just had nothing to do with the food it had.

This mat has LickiMat's square-pocket texture, built to hold chunky treats, kibble or wet food in place rather than spread thin, and it's said to support oral and digestive health as well as calming enrichment through the licking action. It's 20 x 20cm, made from human-grade food-safe TPR, and it's hand washable, freezer safe and microwave friendly.

Square-pocket texture, for chunky treats, kibble or wet food

Marketed to support oral and digestive health as well as calming enrichment

Not a scent, a colour. 'Lavender' here describes the mat itself, not a fragrance released while a dog uses it — LickiMat give no scent or flavour information on the card. As with the rest of the range, teething puppies and heavy chewers should use it alongside the LickiMat Keeper rather than on its own.

Who it's for: owners feeding kibble or chunky treats who want the food held in place rather than scattered, so a dog has to actually work at each pocket.

LickiMat Classic Playdate, Lavender Lick Mat

Why we chose it

The square-pocket texture is built for exactly this — dry food that would just slide off a smooth mat — so it's the right pick over the criss-cross range if kibble is what you're feeding. It survives the freezer as well as the microwave, which is more use than most feeding accessories get.
