Full description
Dogs do not so much eat as inhale. Dinner is over before the bowl has stopped rocking, and then there is the rest of the evening. Licking is the opposite motion - slow, repetitive, and it occupies an animal in a way that swallowing never does, which is why a mat with grooves in it is a completely different proposition from a bowl.
You spread a soft treat across the surface and the dog has to work every last bit of it out of the texture with its tongue. It is 20 x 20 cm, made from non-toxic food grade PET and TPR, and it is both freezer and dishwasher safe - so the same mat can be loaded, frozen to make the job harder, and then put through the machine. Lickimat make it for dogs and cats alike, and it works as a slow feeder for a cat as well as a boredom breaker for a dog.
