Collars and leads: the Bucklebone range
The Classic Dog Collar is plain nylon webbing in 18 colours with the Bucklebone buckle, from £10.99. The Design Dog Collar is the same build with a printed pattern, from £9.49 in XS, in 28 patterns from bumble bees and flamingos to the Union Jack. Both come in four sizes: XS is 12mm wide for a 20 to 32cm neck, Small 15mm for 24 to 36cm, Medium 20mm for 31 to 47cm and Large 25mm for 41 to 63cm. Reflective Bones adds a reflective print for dark walks, and the half-check martingale tightens by a fixed amount for a dog that backs out of a flat collar.
Leads match the collars in colour and pattern, so a Design collar and Design lead pair up. The standard lead is 1.2m, the Multipurpose lead is 2m and clips back on itself for close control or round a post, and the SuperLead is the heavier-duty lead in the range. Red Dingo advise measuring the neck where the collar sits and allowing a finger's gap rather than going by breed.
Harnesses: H, padded, sport, mesh and no-pull
The Classic and Design H-Harnesses are the lightest option, two adjustable loops joined along the back, in the same colours and patterns as the collars, from £19.99. Sizes run XS to Large and are set by two measurements, the body loop behind the front legs and the neck loop, so a deep-chested dog can take a larger body with a smaller neck. The Padded Harness adds padding where the webbing crosses the chest and passes behind the front legs, the two places a bare strap rubs on a dog that pulls.
The Sport Harness is a vest in breathable mesh with an assistance handle on the back, from £38.99. The Mesh Harness is the ultra-light choice for small dogs, XX-Small at a 27cm chest to XX-Large at 63cm, and the No-Pull Harness is built for a dog that leans into the lead. Measure the widest part of the chest behind the front legs and pick the size whose range sits around that figure, not at its edge.
Cats, ID tags and Durables toys
The Classic and Design Cat Collars are 12mm webbing for a 20 to 32cm neck with a safety release that opens at about 2kg of pull, and the Kitten Collar is 8mm for a 16 to 26cm neck releasing at about 0.5kg, so a kitten caught on a branch gets free. Reflective Fish adds a reflective print, and the Cat Harness and Lead Combo is a one-size harness with a 1.2m lead.
Red Dingo enamel ID tags are £16.99 in bone, paw print, daisy, camouflage, cross bone and UK flag designs, plus flat stainless steel bone and circle tags, and we engrave two lines of up to twelve characters before posting. The six Durables toys at £20.49 are fabric toys Red Dingo guarantee will outlast other fabric toys in normal play. They are not chew toys and chewing is not covered.
