What still matters, whatever it looks like
Strength and stitching quality do not become optional just because a lead is chosen for its pattern. Check the clip, the stitching at stress points, and the material's rated strength against your dog's size and pulling strength before choosing on looks alone.
A padded handle is worth having on any lead used for a dog who pulls, fashion range or not, since a thin strap digging into a hand on every walk gets old fast regardless of how good it looks.

Matching a lead to a collar is easy within most fashion ranges, and it is a nice way to put a bit of personality into daily walks without any functional trade-off, provided both pieces are properly sized and rated for your dog.
