Taylors Adult & Senior Working Dog Chicken & Brown Rice

A working dog doesn't stop working the day it turns senior, and a food that covers both adult and senior life stages saves switching recipes on a dog whose diet hasn't actually changed.

Chicken makes up 34% of the recipe - 22% dried chicken, 10% freshly prepared British chicken and 2% chicken stock - ahead of wheat, whole grain barley at 24.5% and brown rice at 4%. Taylors add whole linseed at 0.5% and a dried herb and botanical blend at 0.1%, including parsley, rosemary, basil, fennel, oregano and thyme each at 0.005% or 0.0025%. They class it as a complete, balanced dry food suitable for daily feeding.

On the name. Brown rice gives the recipe half its name, but it's 4% of the composition - behind whole grain barley at 24.5%, which does more of the grain work here than the rice on the label suggests. Taylors recommend introducing it gradually over 10 days for a dog moving onto it from another food.
