Full description

The protein figure on a treat bag says more about what's actually inside than the name ever does, and 42% is a genuinely high number for a biscuit rather than a main meal.

These are crunchy, oven-baked biscuits from Supernature's Norfolk bakery, led by chicken meal rather than a filler flour, with wheat flour, oat flour, vegetable oil, chia seeds, turmeric and rosemary extract making up the rest.

250G bag
Chicken meal as the lead ingredient
Chia seeds included
Crude protein 42%, crude fat 16%, crude fibre 3%
Suitable for dogs over 8 weeks old

One thing worth knowing. At crude protein 42%, this is a genuinely rich treat rather than a low-calorie biscuit, so it's worth accounting for in a dog's daily intake if you're watching their weight, rather than treating it as a negligible extra.

Who it's for: owners wanting a treat that's actually built around chicken meal rather than mostly cereal, for a dog over 8 weeks old.

Why we chose it

Chicken meal as the first ingredient, not the fifth, is what makes this worth its price over a cheaper filler biscuit. The protein figure backs that up rather than just the name on the bag.
