One thing worth knowing
Purina's own safety note is to supervise your dog when giving these, which applies to any hard biscuit treat - it is not a specific warning about this product, but worth taking seriously with a dog that gulps rather than chews.
Why we chose it
Having an actual feeding guide by weight on a treat bag is more useful than it sounds, because most biscuit treats leave portion size entirely to guesswork. Five shapes from one bag also means it does not read as a single monotonous biscuit to a dog working through a lot of them.

Full description
A treat that also does a bit of nutritional work rather than being pure filler is the appeal of a biscuit like this over a strip of processed jerky - it is still a treat, but it is built on the same kind of recipe as a complementary food rather than being an afterthought. Winalot's Shapes range comes in five biscuit shapes from the one recipe.
The composition is cereals (of which wholegrain makes up 19%), oils and fats, derivatives of vegetable origin, meat and animal derivatives, minerals and vegetables. Protein comes out at 10.5%, fat at 4.8%, crude ash at 4.1% and crude fibre at 1.6%, with an energy value of 340 kcal per 100g. Purina's own feeding guide suggests roughly 3 biscuits a day for a 7kg dog, 5 for a 15kg dog and 8 for a 30kg dog, alongside a normal diet.

Who it's for: owners who want a treat with a proper composition and feeding guide behind it, rather than an unlabelled biscuit, and like having a rough daily amount to work from.
