What is in Naturo pet food
Naturo makes wet food for dogs and cats built around grain and gluten-free recipes, with a named meat, such as chicken, salmon or lamb, forming the main protein source rather than a generic meat meal. As with any brand, the exact ingredients vary between individual products, so the pack itself is the definitive source for a specific recipe.
What grain and gluten-free means here
A grain-free recipe excludes cereal ingredients such as wheat, maize and rice, typically replacing the carbohydrate source with something like potato or peas instead. Gluten-free is a narrower claim, ruling out wheat, barley and rye specifically, and a genuinely grain-free food is automatically gluten-free too, since none of the excluded grains contain gluten.
Naturo markets its range on both claims together, which is consistent, since a grain-free recipe naturally satisfies the gluten-free claim as well without needing anything extra done to achieve it.
What is typically in a recipe
Recipes are generally built around a named meat as the primary ingredient, often prepared as a pate or in a jelly, with vegetables such as potato or sweet potato providing carbohydrate in place of cereal grains. Exact formulations differ by flavour and by whether the product is for dogs, cats, puppies or kittens.
Because the range covers several species and life stages, always check the specific pack rather than assuming a claim that applies to one Naturo product, such as grain-free, automatically tells you everything about another.
The range we stock
We carry a selection of Naturo's dog and cat wet food across several flavours and pack sizes, and we pick, pack and post every order ourselves. If a particular flavour is not currently listed, it is worth checking back, since stock moves with demand.
Comparing flavours within the range mostly comes down to your pet's own preference and any specific protein you are trying to avoid or include, since the underlying grain and gluten-free formulation is consistent across the recipes we carry.

Common questions
- Is Naturo suitable for a dog with a grain sensitivity?
- Its grain-free formulation makes it a reasonable option to consider, but a true grain sensitivity should ideally be confirmed by your vet rather than assumed, since digestive symptoms have several possible causes beyond grain specifically.
- Does Naturo make food for kittens and puppies?
- The range includes products for different life stages, including puppy and kitten formulas alongside adult recipes. Check the specific pack for life stage suitability, since not every flavour or format is available across every age group.
- Is grain-free food better for every dog?
- Not automatically. Grain-free suits dogs with a specific grain sensitivity or an owner preference to avoid cereals, but a good-quality food containing grains is perfectly suitable for most dogs without any digestive issues.
- What format does Naturo food come in?
- Naturo's range is generally sold in pouches or trays, prepared as a pate or in a jelly depending on the specific product. The exact format is stated on the individual pack you are considering, alongside the flavour and life stage it is intended for.
