Salmon-based wet food usually gets bought for one of two reasons — a dog that can't do poultry, or an owner topping up omega-3 intake — and this recipe is built to answer both at once rather than favouring one.

Salmon makes up 65% of the recipe, with 20% vegetables from dried potato, carrots and peas. Protein is 9%, fat 10.5%, crude fibre 0.5%, crude ash 3.5% and moisture 72%, giving 141kcal per 100g. Sunflower oil and salmon oil are both included for omega-3 and omega-6, alongside small amounts of tomato powder, dried kelp, cranberry, blueberry, chicory root, basil, yucca and pomegranate extract. It's sold as a pack of seven 400g trays.

• 65% salmon, 20% vegetables (potato, carrot, pea)

• Grain-free
• Sunflower and salmon oil for omega-3 and omega-6
• Sold as 7 x 400G trays

On the fat figure. At 10.5%, fat here runs a little higher than Naturo's own chicken recipe in the same range, which tracks with salmon generally carrying more fat than chicken breast meat does. Worth factoring in if you're switching between the two recipes for a dog that needs fat kept steady.

Who it's for: dogs with a poultry sensitivity, or owners specifically looking to add omega-3 through the main meal rather than a separate supplement.
