Liver has a reputation as the ingredient dogs go out of their way for, which is why it turns up in small, specific amounts in recipes aimed at fussier eaters - it does more for a puppy's interest than its share of the bowl would suggest. This one pairs it with a headline chicken content most recipes do not reach.

Chicken makes up 71% of the recipe, with chicken liver at 4%, alongside sweet potato, carrots and peas. Salmon oil and linseed oil are worked through at small percentages, along with glucosamine and chondroitin for developing joints, and it is grain-free throughout.

• Chicken 71%, chicken liver 4%
• Crude protein 11%, crude fat 10%, crude fibre 0.5%
• Salmon oil 0.25%, linseed oil 0.25%
• Glucosamine 50mg/kg, chondroitin 50mg/kg
• Grain-free
• 395G tray

What the numbers tell you. At 71% chicken this sits well above many wet puppy foods, and the liver at 4% is there for palatability rather than as a filler - it is a small, deliberate ingredient rather than an afterthought.

Who it's for: puppies being weaned onto wet food who need the appeal of liver alongside a genuinely high headline meat content.
