Full description
A dog doesn't care where the stuffing in a soft toy came from, which leaves the choice entirely up to the owner - and recycled filling costs nothing extra to give a squeaky toy over virgin plastic.
This is Ancol's Made From Seagull, a soft toy made with 100% recycled filling and outer materials, built from post-consumer recycled plastics: specifically, this toy uses 11 recycled bottles. It's part of Ancol's wider Made From range, which applies the same approach to collars, leads and beds.
- 100% recycled filling and outer materials
- Made from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles
- Uses 11 recycled bottles per toy
- Squeaker included
- Packaged in plastic-reduced, widely recycled packaging
On durability: Ancol don't publish a weight limit or a chew rating for this toy, and a soft plush - recycled or not - is still built for carrying and squeaking rather than determined chewing, so a persistent chewer should have it supervised rather than left down.
Who it's for: owners who'd rather buy a squeaky comfort toy made from recycled plastic than virgin material, at no extra step required on their part.

Why we chose it
Eleven bottles kept out of landfill for the price of an ordinary squeaky toy is a straightforward reason to pick this over an equivalent plush, with nothing extra asked of the buyer. It's part of a wider Ancol range doing the same thing across collars, leads and beds, so it isn't a one-off gimmick.
