What is left is Tuffy's construction, which is the reason to buy one at all. Several layers are bonded together, every seam carries multiple rows of stitching, and webbing runs through the joins so the force of a shake spreads along the seam rather than landing on a single stitch. Tough is not indestructible. These last far longer than ordinary plush and this one has no stuffing to lose, but a dog whose hobby is dismantling things will get through it in the end.
