A senior dog's joints usually need more help than its stomach needs a change of routine, which is why Nutriment build their senior nugget around named joint-support ingredients rather than just a lighter recipe. The name says Turkey & Salmon, and turkey does lead at 43% with salmon at 21%, but beef makes up a further 20% of the recipe — a meaningful third protein the name does not mention.

Alongside the three meats, the recipe includes pumpkin, broccoli, chicory, kelp, blueberry, coconut oil, green lipped mussel, chondroitin sulphate and L-carnitine — an ingredient list clearly built with an older dog's joints and energy metabolism in mind. The analysis shows crude protein at 11.2%, crude fat 9.9%, crude fibre 1.3%, crude ash 2.9% and moisture 68.5%, with Nutriment's own breakdown stating 86% fresh meat and offal, 14% vegetables and superfoods, and 0% grain or filler.

• Turkey 43%, salmon 21%, beef 20%
• Green lipped mussel, chondroitin sulphate and L-carnitine included
• 86% fresh meat and offal, 14% vegetables and superfoods
• Crude protein 11.2%, crude fat 9.9%
• 0% grain or filler
• 1kg pack, supplied frozen

On the third protein. "Turkey & Salmon" names two of the three meats in this recipe — beef makes up a further 20%, which is not in the product name at all. If you are avoiding beef for any reason, check the composition rather than going by the name alone.

Who it's for: raw feeders with a senior dog who want joint-support ingredients built into the meat rather than added as a separate supplement, and who are happy to feed beef alongside the named turkey and salmon.
