Full description
A senior-dog label earns trust by saying what is actually in the pouch. The meat declaration matters here because the product name does not tell the whole story.
James Wellbeloved Senior Lamb & Chicken in Gravy is a complete wet food for senior dogs, supplied as a 48 Pack with each pouch listed as 90G. The composition declares chicken at 44% of the chunk and lamb trachea at 28% of the chunk, alongside white and brown rice, dried carrots and dried peas.
- Complete wet food for senior dogs
- Chicken 44% in the chunk
- Lamb trachea 28% in the chunk
- White and brown rice 5.5%
- Protein 5.0% and fat content 4.0%
- Moisture 82.0%
Read the meat declaration: although the name says lamb and chicken, the supplied composition describes the chicken portion as heart, deboned ground turkey and liver. That unusual wording is reproduced from the official composition, so owners avoiding turkey should treat it as present; no storage instructions are supplied on the card.
Who it's for: owners of senior dogs who want a complete wet food in gravy and are comfortable with the full meat declaration, including the turkey named within it.

Why we chose it
The deciding point is a complete senior wet food with a full composition and analytical declaration. The meat wording also gives us enough detail to flag the turkey that the front-of-pack name does not make obvious.
