Pro Plan feeding guide
Pro Plan does not publish one single feeding amount, because how much to feed depends on your individual dog's weight, life stage and activity level — that guide is printed on every pack itself. What we can set out here is how the range is organised, so you can find the right recipe before working out portions from the pack or with your vet.
How the Pro Plan range is organised
Pro Plan splits its dog recipes primarily by life stage and size — puppy formulas for small and medium breeds, adult everyday nutrition recipes, and options for dogs over a certain age or weight range, such as 1+ and 2+ formulas for large, active breeds. Alongside those sit need-specific recipes, including sensitive skin formulas and food built for sterilised or less active dogs.
That structure means the first decision is usually life stage and size band, and the second is whether your dog has a specific need — sensitive skin, a lower activity level, or a health-conscious sterilised formula — that a general everyday recipe would not address as precisely.
Following the feeding guide on the pack
Every Pro Plan pack carries a feeding table based on your dog's target weight, which is the right starting point rather than a fixed amount we could give you here — the correct portion for a 25kg adult dog differs from a 25kg dog that is significantly overweight, and only your vet can tell you which situation applies.
Weigh the food out rather than estimating by scoop, and check your dog's body condition every few weeks, adjusting the amount up or down within the pack's guidance if they are gaining or losing more than expected. If you are ever unsure how much to feed a specific dog, your vet is the right person to ask rather than guessing from a generic figure.
