Specifications

Brand: VetIQ
Suitable from: 1 year

Full description

A dog that's slowing down on the stairs is not always described as "in pain" by the person watching it happen — usually it's just "getting old", which is exactly why joint supplements tend to start later than the joint problem does.

VetIQ's Arthriti-UM Advanced tablets are a joint supplement combining Glucosamine, Chondroitin Sulphate, MSM and Green Lipped Mussel in one tablet, sold in a pack of 45 and cleared for dogs from 1 year old.

On the dose. VetIQ do not give us a per-weight dosing table, so follow the instructions printed on the pack rather than guessing by your dog's size, and check with a vet before starting a supplement on a dog with an existing joint diagnosis or other medication.

Who it's for: owners of a dog over a year old who want to start supporting joints early, particularly bigger or older breeds prone to stiffness.

Why we chose it

Joint supplements are a crowded shelf, and this one earns its place by naming all four of the usual actives on one label rather than leaning on just one of them. It's a straightforward pack size to keep topped up.
