Full description

A licensed children's book character on a dog toy is really just a colour and pattern choice with a story attached, but it's a genuinely different look to the usual plain rope or plush.

These are Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar tugs for dogs, bringing the book's vibrant colours and patterns onto a toy designed for dogs, across a choice of designs including an apple.

On material: the maker's description doesn't specify what the toy is actually made from beyond describing it as vibrant and imaginative, so no fabric, stuffing or chew rating can be confirmed from this card - treat it as a soft toy for carrying and play rather than a chew.

Who it's for: owners who want a distinctive, licensed-design toy rather than a plain one, particularly fans of the book itself.

Why we chose it

A licensed design is a straightforward way to stand out on a shelf full of plain rope and plush toys, and this range covers a choice of fruit-themed designs rather than just one. It's as much a gift-shelf item as a practical toy pick.
