A dog's joints usually only get noticed once they're already stiff, which is well past the point a food choice could have done anything preventative — Butcher's Joints & Coat range is built around getting ahead of that instead.

The Salmon recipe here is 70% British and Irish farmed chicken and beef, with salmon and salmon broth added at 26% and beef at 10% within that base. Layered on top is a Joints & Coat Blend at 14,000mg/kg, which includes an omega blend of salmon and algae oil at 12,000mg/kg, glucosamine, green lipped mussel at 100mg/kg, chondroitin and turmeric at 10mg/kg. The analysis — protein 8.5%, fat 6%, fibre 0.2%, ash 2.5%, moisture 82%, at 89kcal/100g — is stated to apply across all three recipes in the range, though only the Salmon recipe's full composition is on the card we hold.

What's not broken down here. This range runs to three recipes, and the shared nutritional analysis applies to all of them, but only the Salmon recipe's full ingredient composition is on the card we hold — the other two aren't itemised here. It's an everyday complete food built around a joint-support blend, not a veterinary or prescription diet, so a dog with a diagnosed joint condition still needs a vet's own guidance.

Who it's for: owners of an active or ageing dog wanting a joint-support angle built into an everyday grain-free wet food, rather than managing a diagnosed condition.
