Full description

Senior-dog food is easier to judge when the recipe detail is separated from the promise on the box.

This 18 x 390G Butcher's Joints & Coat multipack is complete wet food for senior dogs, with chicken, salmon and turkey recipes. Each recipe declares 70% British and Irish farmed meat ingredients and 14,000mg/kg of the named blend. That blend includes a 12,000mg/kg omega blend from salmon and algae oils, plus glucosamine, green-lipped mussel, chondroitin, turmeric, vitamins and minerals. The shared analysis states 8.5% protein, 6% fat content and 82% moisture.

Complete wet food for senior dogs
18 x 390G tins
Chicken, salmon and turkey recipes
Protein 8.5% and fat content 6%
Omega-3 0.3% and omega-6 0.7%

Keep the range name in perspective. The card records the blend and its ingredients, but it does not establish how an individual dog's joints or coat will respond. The salmon recipe also has a different additive declaration from the chicken and turkey recipes.

Who it's for: owners of senior dogs comparing a complete poultry-and-salmon wet-food selection and wanting the blend composition and analysis stated plainly.

Why we chose it

The 14,000mg/kg blend declaration is the practical reason to carry this range because it lets shoppers see what the name refers to. We can also show the three meat recipes separately instead of treating the multipack as one formula.
