Full description
Most people don't ask before reaching for a dog on a lead, which is fine right up until that particular dog needs them not to. A lead that says something before anyone gets close does some of that communicating for you.
This is Ancol's Obedia Caution lead from their Awareness range, made in the UK from recycled 40mm-wide webbing. The idea behind the range is simple: a clear visual signal that lets someone read the situation at a glance, whether a dog is nervous, in training, or just needs a bit more room.
- Part of Ancol's Awareness range, signalling caution to other people
- 40mm-wide webbing
- Made in the UK from recycled webbing
- Machine washable at 30 degrees
- Check the lead, trigger hook and stitching regularly for wear
What the card doesn't say. We don't have the lead's length or its maximum recommended dog weight on the information supplied for this product, so if either matters for your dog, that's worth checking on the product photos rather than assuming from the webbing width alone.
Who it's for: owners of a dog that's nervous, reactive, in training, or simply doesn't want fussing from strangers, and who'd rather the lead did some of that explaining before anyone gets close enough to ask.

Why we chose it
A caution lead only works if people can actually read it, and this one leans on that rather than being a novelty print - it's a genuine communication tool dressed as ordinary walking gear. Made in the UK from recycled webbing is also a detail we'd rather stock than not.
