A supplement that has to be forced into a dog defeats its own purpose fairly quickly, which is why so many joint-care products are built as a chew rather than a tablet — the dog takes it because it wants to, not because you've disguised it.

This one combines glucosamine HCL with green lipped mussel and salmon oil, alongside MSM and inulin, in a base of malt extract, glycerine and turkey meal. Vitamin C is added at 6800mg/kg and vitamin E at 2000IU/kg, both well above what a typical diet would provide alone.

• Glucosamine HCL, green lipped mussel, salmon oil and MSM in one chew
• Protein 19.5%, crude fibre 4.8%, fat 9.3%, crude ash 5.1%, moisture 12%
• Vitamin C at 6800mg/kg, vitamin E at 2000IU/kg
• Complementary food, can be hand-fed or added to a meal
• Suitable for dogs and puppies from 12 weeks
• 60 chews per pack

What the label does not say. VetIQ don't give a daily dose by dog weight on this card, only that it's suitable from 12 weeks and can be hand-fed or mixed into food — check the pack itself for how many chews to give and how often, since that isn't information we can confirm here.

Who it's for: owners of a dog or puppy wanting a joint-support routine started early, particularly for a breed prone to joint issues later in life, or a dog whose current tablet-based supplement it simply won't take.
