Full description
Plush toys usually last one enthusiastic evening. Tuffy build theirs more like luggage: layers of material bonded together, several rows of stitching on every seam, and protective webbing running through the joins so a determined dog cannot find one loose thread and unpick the whole thing. This orange fish comes from the Junior range, which means it is scaled for a smaller mouth rather than being a full-size ocean creature.
The construction is what you are paying for. An ordinary plush toy has a single line of stitching holding two pieces of fabric together, and once that goes the stuffing follows it out. The layered build means a dog has to get through several layers before reaching anything at all, and the webbing spreads the force of a shake along the seam instead of concentrating it on one stitch. It floats, which makes it useful at the beach, and it washes.
