A puppy weaned onto wet food needs the same nutrients as an adult dog in a very different proportion, which is why a puppy-specific pouch is more than an adult recipe in smaller print.

PEDIGREE's Puppy Pouches Mixed Selection is a complete and balanced wet food for puppies aged 2-12 months, sold in jelly across four recipes including Beef & Liver Mix with Rice, Chicken & Rice, and Lamb & Liver Mix with Rice. As with the adult range, named meats sit inside a broader "meat and animal derivatives" category — Chicken & Rice, for example, lists Chicken at 14% and Pork Liver at 8%.

• 100g pouches, four recipes in jelly, mixed in one box
• Complete and balanced for puppies aged 2-12 months
• Protein 8.5%, fat 5.7%, fibre 0.4%, moisture 81.5%, 89kcal/100g
• Calcium 0.36%, phosphorus 0.28% — balanced for growth
• Chicken & Rice recipe: chicken 14%, pork liver 8%
• Added prebiotics, via Cassia gum

On the meat content. As with the adult pouches, the named meat is a minority of the recipe rather than the majority: the Chicken & Rice pouch is 14% chicken, sitting inside a wider meat and animal derivatives base. That's standard at this price point, but worth knowing if you're picturing a mostly-chicken pouch.

Who it's for: owners of puppies between 2 and 12 months wanting a mixed-flavour wet food rather than a single recipe repeated every meal.
