Full description

Puppy dry food needs more than an adult-style portion row because expected size and growth stage both matter.

PEDIGREE Complete Junior/Puppy Dry Dog Food Poultry and Vegetables is a complete food. The puppy recipe starts with cereals and includes 4% poultry. Dried beet pulp is 3%, the dried pea-and-carrot mix is 0.7%, equivalent to 4%, and brewer’s yeast is 0.4%. Protein is 25%, fat 11.5%, crude fibre 2.3%, inorganic matter 7.1%. The additives section separately declares nutritional vitamins and minerals. Complete status means it is intended as the main food rather than a mixer. The label says to count treats, adjust the amount to the dog and keep fresh water available.

Later feeding rows lack age labels. Soften the dry food with water for puppies, divide the day into portions and adjust for age, size and activity. The later rows in the supplied table lose their age labels, so exact quantities are omitted pending review.

Who it's for: puppies and junior dogs whose owners need complete poultry dry food and will adjust through growth.

Why we chose it

The same puppy recipe in two bag sizes is useful through growth. The malformed later table rows are disclosed rather than turned into invented feeding advice.
