Full description

Weighing out a growing puppy's food by eye is how portions creep up as the puppy does, and a nugget format is Nutriment's answer to that — each one is meant to be a countable unit rather than a scoop guessed from a tub.

The recipe is 86% fresh meat and offal — turkey and beef each at 43%, the beef including tripe, kidney and liver — with pumpkin, broccoli, chicory, blueberry and kelp making up 14% vegetables and superfoods, and no grain or filler. It's a complete food for puppies, coming out at 12.7% protein, 12% fat, 0.7% fibre, 3% ash and 68.6% moisture, and is sold frozen.

What the label does not say. The whole point of a nugget is being able to count them out, but Nutriment have not given us a nugget count or a per-nugget weight on this card — you'll need to check the pack itself to portion by nugget rather than by weight.

Who it's for: owners raw-feeding a puppy who want a pre-formed, easy-to-portion format rather than mincing and weighing a raw diet themselves.

Nutriment Puppy Raw Turkey Nuggets

Why we chose it

Turkey and beef at 43% each, with proper offal in the mix, is a genuinely meaty recipe rather than one padded out with vegetables. It's sold frozen in nugget form, which is the practical bit — no defrosting a whole block just to feed one meal.
