Some puppies come with a family history of grain sensitivity before anyone has confirmed it's actually an issue for them specifically, and a grain-free wet pouch is a straightforward way to rule it out without changing the protein at the same time.

Turkey makes up 76% of the meaty chunk here, alongside pea starch, dried carrots and dried potatoes rather than rice. It is a complete grain-free food for puppies, and James Wellbeloved's stated approach across the range is to exclude beef, pork, soya, eggs, dairy and wheat.

• Complete grain-free wet food for puppies, turkey named as 76% of the meaty chunk
• Protein 6.2%, fat 4.1%, crude ash 1.6%, crude fibre 0.70%
• Calcium 0.25% and phosphorus 0.18% for growth
• No rice — uses pea starch and dried potatoes instead
• Excludes beef, pork, soya, eggs, dairy and wheat
• 90G pouches

On telling this apart from the standard version. James Wellbeloved also sell a turkey pouch in this same range that contains rice; this one doesn't. The recipes are close enough in name that it's worth checking the front of the pouch before restocking, especially if you've bought both at different times.

Who it's for: puppies on a grain-free diet by vet advice or family history of sensitivity, who are already established on turkey as their protein.
