Full description
A retrieving toy that's soft in the mouth gets carried and fetched more willingly than a hard one, particularly with dogs that are gentler by nature or getting on in years.
This is Happy Pet's Migrator Mallard, a soft, cushioned plush dog toy shaped like a duck. Happy Pet describe it as realistic in appearance, and it has a sound feature built in that plays as the dog interacts with it, making it suited to fetch as well as general play.
- Soft, cushioned plush construction
- Realistic mallard duck design
- Built-in sound feature
- Suited to throw-and-fetch play
- Available in more than one size
What the label does not say. Happy Pet don't specify the exact sound feature, squeaker versus another mechanism, or give dimensions for either size available, so beyond 'soft, cushioned and makes a sound' we can't confirm more detail.
Who it's for: dogs that enjoy a soft, sound-making toy for fetch, including gentler players or older dogs who prefer something forgiving to catch and carry.

Why we chose it
Soft and cushioned is genuinely a different feel to most fetch toys, which tend to be firmer rubber or plastic, and it suits dogs who are gentler with their toys or just getting on a bit. The realistic duck shape is also a nice change from the usual plain ball or disc.
