Most tug toys ask a dog to pick one mode and stick with it. This one changes shape depending on what the dog wants to do with it — pulled out for tugging and tossing, or folded so the tail tucks inside and it becomes a ball for fetch instead.

The Hide-a-Tail Snake is a soft plush toy built with two layers of fabric to stand up to energetic play, with a squeaker and crinkle material inside for sound, and no stuffing, which keeps mess to a minimum if it does get chewed into. This page covers the range: it comes in Large, Medium and XL, and also in a blue colourway.

• Soft plush construction, two layers of fabric
• Tail tucks inside to fold the toy into a ball shape
• Squeaker and crinkle material for sound
• No stuffing inside
• Sizes: Large, Medium and XL, plus a blue colourway
• Packed weight (Large): 0.21kg

Something worth flagging. We only have a confirmed packed weight for the Large size, 0.21kg — the Medium and XL are not individually weighed on the card we hold. Go by your dog's usual toy size when choosing between the three rather than assuming they scale evenly.

Who it's for: dogs that like both tugging and fetch and get bored of a toy that only does one, plus anyone whose dog has previously pulled the stuffing out of a plush toy and would do better without any.
