A dog owner buying a fifth or sixth plush toy is not usually looking for a new feature; they are looking for a toy that isn't the one already lying in shreds on the kitchen floor.

Sal is the name the makers attach to this toy, sold in their plush dog toys category, in a size marked Large. That is the whole of what has reached us — no material, no dimensions, no filling.

• Plush dog toy, listed as "Sal"
• Range: Our plush dog toys
• Size on the label: Large
• No fabric, filling or dimensions given

On what we weren't told. Sal comes to us with a name, a category and a size label and nothing else — no washing guidance, no weight, no note on what's inside it. That gap is honestly reported rather than filled in.

Who it's for: a straightforward replacement or addition for a dog that already goes through soft toys, bought on the strength of a new name rather than a new feature.
