The 25kg maximum is a hard limit from flexi, not a suggestion, so a dog close to or over that weight - particularly one that pulls hard - is a case for a fixed lead rather than this one, regardless of how well the brake performs on lighter dogs.

A retractable lead is only as good as its brake, since the whole point is letting a dog range out and then stopping that motion cleanly when something needs your attention - another dog, a road, a recall. A harsh or unpredictable brake undoes the benefit of the extra length.
The flexi New Comfort is a 5m tape lead for dogs up to a maximum of 25kg, built with what flexi call a comfortable braking system and a soft-grip handle, plus a customised handle adjustment system so it sits differently in different hands. The trigger hook is chromed, and the lead's own product weight is approximately 300g. It's also designed to accept flexi's optional LED Lighting System or Multi Box accessories, and comes in a choice of colours.
