Full description
A retractable lead's tape and cord versions look interchangeable on a shelf, but they behave differently in the hand — tape sits flatter against a leg on a tangle and is usually the one people reach for on a dog that pulls.
This is a 5m tape leash in flexi's New Classic range, rated for dogs up to 25kg, available in five colours — black, red, pink, blue and olive. It uses the same comfortable braking system as flexi's other Classic models, with a chromed snap hook rather than plain steel.
- 5m tape leash length
- For dogs up to a maximum of 25kg
- Available in black, red, pink, blue or olive
- Comfortable braking system
- Chromed snap hook
- Product weight approximately 270g
On sizing versus the cord version. This is the tape version, rated to 25kg, not the cord version of the same range — flexi's tape and cord leashes carry different weight ratings even within the same size letter, so check you're buying the version rated for your dog's actual weight rather than assuming by name alone.
Who it's for: an owner of a dog up to 25kg who wants the flat tape style of retractable lead rather than a cord, with a colour choice to match what's actually in stock.

Why we chose it
Tape sits more comfortably in the hand than cord on a dog that pulls, which is why we stock both versions rather than just one. Five colour options on the same spec means restocking doesn't leave us stuck with one colour nobody wants.
