A licensed character earns its keep on a dog toy the same way it does on anything else — recognition. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of the few book characters as familiar to adults buying the toy as it will ever be to the dog chewing it.

This is a plush tug toy built around Eric Carle's design, with a rope section at one end for a game of tug-of-war, and squeakers and crinkle paper packed inside for extra sound and interest. It measures 40cm.
